We saw the movie 2012 today and boy, it was one of the best apocalyptic movie ever, if not the best! It reminded me of the movies “The Day After Tomorrow” and “Deep Impact” but “2012″ has a different level of awesomeness that I can’t put my finger on… I’m not even sure if there’s such a word as ‘awesomeness’!
2012 is a star studded cast including John Cussack and John Glover to name a few (well, actually those are ones I knew from other movies).
2012 is a 2009 science fiction disaster film based loosely on the 2012 phenomenon and directed by Roland Emmerich. The film has an ensemble cast, including John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. The film was distributed by Columbia Pictures. Filming began in August 2008 in Vancouver. The film is set in a modern setting and only brushes on Mayanism and the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar.
I am telling you, if available, I’ll get myself a blueray copy of this movie! Check out the movie plot in wikipedia and get an idea of what the story is all about. But I tell you know, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, go out and check it out! The effects are so realistic you’ll feel that it is really the end of the world!
