Here’s what we read:

Dollhouse was renewed and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was cancelled. Both shows struggled in the ratings, but Terminator was the higher-rated of the two (4.6 million viewers on average vs. 3.7 million for Dollhouse). Fox Entertainment Prez Kevin Reilly tried to persuade reporters this wasn’t an either/or situation. What tipped the decision? Dollhouse’s star producer, Joss Whedon.

Said Reilly, “This is a bet on Joss Whedon. If you looked at the profile of that show, he has an unbelievably loyal fan base. It did consistent in the ‘live’ ratings [when it aired in its time period] and consistently [ranked] as one of the biggest time-shifting shows on the air so we’re placing our bet on Joss.”

As for his thoughts on Terminator: “I think it had a nice little run,” Reilly said.

Fox won’t air final Dollhouse episode.. yeah you read it right… The good news (??) is, the news doesn’t confirm if FOX will be dropping the axe on Dollhouse.

Joss Whedon’s ambitious show will be cut short by one; 12th episode reportedly original vision for season finale.

Fox e-mailed out the highlights from its upcoming May schedule, and one thing appears to be missing: the final episode of Joss Whedon’s new action show.

On May 8, Fox will air the episode titled “Omega,” which the network describes as a season finale. But there’s just one problem: “Omega” is only the show’s 12th episode and the crew shot 13. The episode that won’t air is titled “Epitaph One.”

The news appears to have been confirmed with Felicia Day, who starred in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and had a role in “Epitaph One.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Day used her Twitter account to say, “Man, day getting worse and worse. Found out my Dollhouse ep, #13 isn’t gonna air. Only on DVD. Such a great part too. Thx Fox. …”

However, according to some from Whedon’s camp, “Omega” is actually Whedon’s original idea of a season finale, so season one won’t feel cut short. But the obvious question is “if that was the season finale, why did they shoot an extra episode?”

It looks as though Fox cut Dollhouse’s run short in order to make room for the two-hour Prison Break series finale.

This should in no way be interpreted as the show being cancelled, but it isn’t a good sign either.

UPDATE: According to television critic Alan Sepinwall, Fox apparently considers the original pilot (Joss Whedon re-shot the first episode) as part of the 13-episode order, and “Epitaph One” was produced independently by the studio. Therefore, Fox doesn’t feel as though they need to air the extra episode (and if that’s the case, it’s a legitimate decision). It is believed the unaired episode will be part of the season one DVD box set.

Everyone has their first dates, and the objective is to hide you flaws and then you’re in a relationship then it’s all about hiding your disappointments then once you’re married it’s about hiding your sins

Here’s what I read:

It was a great week for mixing humor and fantasy on both Dollhouse and Supernatural. Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse continued its now-rapidly-accelerating revealing of the origins of Eliza Dushku’s Echo/Catherine, while Eric Kripke’s Supernatural offered a sort of alternate-universe tale of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as office workers fated to meet.

Dollhouse is leading up to next week’s do-not-miss episode which Fox is promoting as an “event”: “Dollhouse: The Awakening.” In the meantime, we got glimpses of doll Echo’s real identity, Caroline, with flashbacks to the deal she struck with Dollhouse dominatrix (as I like to think of her) Adelle DeWitt. But the main plot was a corker about a drug that infected all the major players, turning them into, in DeWitt’s phrase, “idiot children.” It gave this diverse cast a chance to show new sides of themselves. The result was both funny (Topher: “You haven’t seen my drawer of inappropriate starches?”) and revealing. Like I said, don’t miss next week.

For this episode, Echo was imprinted to become an expert safe-cracker.. But things went wrong when someone (everyone thinks it’s Alpha, I think so too) reset, or wiped out Echo’s imprint and left her vulnerable… like a doll.

Good think Echo’s Handler was able to save her. The Dollhouse official tried to help tru the phone by imprinting the same character (Daphne) to another Doll, but that didn’t work out.

My thoughts on the Gray hour? It’s alright. It could have been better. Why was it called gray hour anyway? Also, I still need to get more info on that male doll guy. Feels like he’s worthless or something. I wonder what’s his story to this whole Dollhouse picture.

It’s confirmed, I was really tired the time I was watching Dollhouse episode 1 Ghosts, that’s why I fell asleep while watching it. But I did said that the new TV series from FOX has potential.

I am catching up with Dollhouse and I just finished watching episode 2 called “The Target” and I must say that this one is better than the pilot episode. I was kind of wondering who’s that hunky naked dude at the end of episode 1.

Alpha.

Many things are revealed about Alpha and about the Dollhouse here in Episode 2 The Target. Including what happened to Echo’s original Handler before Boyd Langton. This episode also shows how deep the relationship between the Active and the Handler.

The first episode of Dollhouse‘s first season is called “Ghost”. Dollhouse is a new drama, thriller tv series from FOX. I just watched the first episode last night and to be honest, I literally fell asleep a couple of times while watching the episode. I was probably too tired and bumb out last night that I got too sleepy.

I then again watch it this morning and I managed to finish it without feeling sleepy.

Thoughts? I think this TV series has potential. Not too original concept but I think people will be entertained… it they watched a few more episodes perhaps.

As you may now know from previous post, Dollhouse is about an organization running a company (Dollhouse) that ‘employs’ persons with their personalities wipe out and program with someone else’s that suits the assignments (“engagements” is their term and “Active” is used instead of “Dolls”)

Dollhouse premiere episode is called “Ghosts”. Why Ghost? Because, Echo (the lead character, lead “Doll”) “plays” a negotiator (in a kidnap for ransom) that had also the same experience of her own (not Echo but the woman she was program to be). She then flipped out and saw her captive when she was a young girl.

Naturally, there will be tons of new questions to ask when a new TV series comes in… I have some myself but wont list it here until I see the other 3 episodes… Currently Season 1 of Dollhouse has 4.

A “Dollhouse” is a hidden facility where they keep what is called “Dolls” or “Actives”. These “Dolls” are a group of people that can be programmed or reprogrammed to be someone else. Their own original personalities have been wiped out so that it can be imprinted with someone else’s.

Pretty cool stuff eh?

Dollhouse is a new TV series from FOX, the same tv company that is giving you 24, American Idol, Prison Break and others. Now they are bringing us “Dollhouse” which started airing just last February 13, 2009.

I am certain that I will be following Dollhouse since from Wikipedia’s description, I think it’s worth the watch. Here’s what wikipedia has to say about “Dollhouse”:

Eliza Dushku plays a young woman called Echo, a member of a group of people known as “Actives” or “Dolls”. The Dolls have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas, including memory, muscle memory, skills, and language, for different assignments (referred to as engagements). The new persona is not an original creation, however, but an amalgam of different, existing personalities. The end result incorporates some of the flaws, not just the strengths, of the people used as templates. The Actives are then hired out for particular jobs – crimes, fantasies, and the occasional good deed. On engagements, Actives are monitored internally (and remotely) by Handlers. In between tasks, they are mind-wiped into a child-like state and live in a futuristic dormitory/laboratory, a hidden facility nicknamed “The Dollhouse”. The story follows Echo, who begins, in her mind-wiped state, to become self-aware.

Beyond Dushku’s character, the show also revolves around the people who run the mysterious “Dollhouse” and two other “Dolls”, Sierra and Victor (played by Dichen Lachman and Enver Gjokaj), who are friendly with Echo. The names of Actives are simply letters in the phonetic alphabet. Although the Actives are ostensibly volunteers, the operation is highly illegal and under constant threat on one end from Paul Ballard, a determined federal agent who has heard a rumor about the Dolls, and an insane rogue Active on the other.
