I just finished watching episode 13 of LOST, Some Like it Hoth… Why is the title episode like that? What is “hoth” anyway?
Episode 13 of LOST is all about Miles. The whole back story of the childhood and life of Miles, the one who can talk (or know something about the dead).
Before we delve into the story of LOST Episode 13, here’s what hoth is:
Just finished watching the latest LOST episode (episode 12 Dead is Dead). “Dead is Dead” episode is apparently all abou the dead that comes back to life, that is John Locke and Alex (you know, Ben Linus’ ‘daughter’).
The whole LOST episode 12 answers several of the cliff hanger questions from previous episodes or from previous season even. Questions such as:
First of all, if you thought that the episode title was spoken by Kate somewhere in the episode, you are mistaken… It was not used in the entire episode! (Unlike “He’s Our You” when Sawyer aka LaFleur said it to Sayid)… Although yeah, the whole episode was Kate-centric, with the whole flash backs… but the “Whatever Happened, Happened” thing is by Miles and Hugo! Yay!
Watch LOST Episode 11 “He’s Our You” if you haven’t done so yet. It’s one great episode… Most LOST fans thought that this particular episode is Ben-centric, that is, the episode was all about Ben.. Well, in a way it is.. but the whole episode is about Sayid.
I read somewhere that LOST’s Episode 9, Namaste is the real first episode of season 5.. All the rest are just an intermissions.. and introduction if you will… Namaste (told you it’s a Japanese name *grin*), is the first episode where all of the cast away are in one place.

Ok, let’s start again.. The thing that you like about lost is how the show exercises your mind by making it think of what’s going to happen next and the twist and plot of the story/season.
If you have never been a fan of LOST, believe me when I say that LaFleur is one of the best episode for this season. It doesn’t reveal that much of the story but it certainly played the mind of the audience that’s why my respect and awe level to LOST’s writer went up another notch.
You can watch lost online for the LaFleur episode here, if you haven’t seen it yet. I suggest you watch the start of the season now so you’ll know and appreciate what LeFleur is about.
Have you seen the last episode of LOST? Season 5 Episode 6 called “316″? If not, well me too. kidding.
Anyway, the episode opens in a very familiar way.. they did that sequence before, I know they did (or was it Locke who woke from the forest… or it could have been Desmond, naked).. Anyway, Jack woke up in the middle of the forest, then hears someone yelling “help me!”.. and it turns out to be Hugo, drowning in a lake! (at this time, I thought, holy crap, I missed something… Hugo did not want to go back?!).. After Jack saved Hugo, they saw Kate lying face down on the rock in the side of the lake… Holy! Kate didn’t want to go back too neither, is what I thought…
Then the “48 hours later” sequence.. got cha!
The whole episode showed how the Lost survivors was fixed to go back to the island… Eloise Hawkins (apparent Daniel Faraday’s Mom) said they must get on a plane to Guam… there are only 4 of them.. then at the airport, Sayid was there (arrested), Hugo was there, Kate was there, Sun, Ben, John Locke.. looks like all are there except for Desmond…
Now that they are back in the island.. what’s going to happen next?
Let’s wait and see as we watch season 5 episode 7 “the Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham” free online in streaming video next week!
I am beginning to love LOST more and more! Not only that it is one great show, (I just finished watching episode 14) but the traffic it’s sending to my post is splendid!
