Chuck Season 1 Episode 2 is called “Chuck vs. The Helicopter”. With this episode, I noticed that all of the show’s episode title is like that, with Chuck versus something. Cool.. just like the one word episode style of Harper’s Island. That’s one excuse to watch Chuck, huh?
Anyway, episode 2 is about:
As Chuck is beginning to adapt to his new life as a spy, a doctor who could possibly “cure” Chuck is murdered. Chuck then begins a high-speed fight for his life, all while trying to decide which of his two new colleagues might be out to get him.
Meanwhile, Chuck’s sister Ellie invites Sarah to dinner to meet the family.
On the second episode, there is still no opening song or the usual opening scene for the series. There just this narrator who introduces Chuck and then Chuck takes over.
Why ‘vs. Helicopter’ ? Well, on this episode, he was set up with a NSA? CIA? top doctor that is suppose to cure him and transfer all the info from his head to a hard drive or something. But it turns out that the doctor wants Chuck for himself to sell him to the highest bidder. He kidnapped him and taken into a helicopter.. which we know that Chuck over took and hi flew it himself with the help of Casey Sarah (and his inundated experience in Flight Simulator games).
I love the scene with Chuck and Sarah in a car outside Chuck’s house. He said “meeting the family is a big step if our relationship were remotely real” (chuckles). also ” just so you know, tonight was probably the best only second date I’ve been on for years”. (see attached image on this post, that’s the scene).
We see him running, doing monologue, talking to the viewers about who he is.
From our Chuck Pilot episode post, I noted some ‘no name’ characters because, I know that I would meet them later on the succeeding episodes.. Now, I know them.. here’s the name of the No-names:
- Chuck – First let’s meet the main character of the show. He is being played by Zachary Levi… and his complete name is Charles Irvinig Bartowsky.
- Sarah – She is the CIA chic! She is being played by Yvonne Strahovski.. She is so pretty, so hot, so sexy! She will definitely will be on my Hot and Gorgeous page!
- Casey – He’s the other secret agent from NSA. At first I thought it’s KC, but I was wrong. Since he’s calling Sarah by her first name, I thought Sarah is doing the same, but Casey is his last name. He is actually Lt. Col. John Casey.
- Morgan – yeah, i remember his name from the series..
- Ellie – don’t know the full name yet, but did a quick search – * Dr. Eleanor Fay “Ellie” Woodcomb (Sarah Lancaster) is Chuck’s older sister and is a physician. She is married to Dr. Woodcomb, who she met at UCLA. First seen in: Chuck Versus the Intersect (Pilot)
- and finally, Dr. Awesome – Dr. Devon Christian “Captain Awesome” Woodcomb (Ryan McPartlin) is Ellie’s husband and a physician. He is referred to as Captain Awesome due to both his love of extreme sports (rock climbing, hang gliding, and “flossing” as Chuck says) as well as his constant use of the word to describe things (“Group hug?… [joins in]… awesome”)
