Today I was able to watch the pilot episode of the first season of Royal Pains. I was just curious at first and now I found out that Royal Pains too, is a cool new TV series from USA network.

Episode 1 of Royal Pains is all about the beginning.. How he lost his job as a doctor to the hospital he’s working for… How he become famous to the world of the rich etc.

After saving the life of a teenage basketball player while a hospital benefactor dies of unforeseen complications, star surgeon Hank Lawson is fired from his job at a Brooklyn hospital. He then goes into a tailspin where he is dumped by his fiancée. Hank’s brother Evan, a CPA, convinces him to let off steam with a weekend in the Hamptons.

Evan gets them into a posh party thrown by German nobleman Boris, where Hank saves the life of a supermodel. Leaving the party, Hank encounters Jill Casey, who has the same car as he. Boris, Evan, and physician assistant Divya all suggest a career in concierge doctoring for Hank, but he brushes them off. However, he does save the life of Tucker Bryant, a teenage hemophiliac, and fix the bad boob job of “New Parts” Newberg. At the end, Hank agrees to try concierge doctoring for the summer.

Royal Pains has become one of the highest rated shows on cable. The series premiere was watched by 5.57 million viewers, the highest series premiere for the USA Network since Psych in 2006. With episodes two and three watched by 5.59 million viewers and 6.5 million, respectively, it was the first show in five years to have viewership increase from week two to week three
