The long time Thursday partnership of Smallville and Supernatural come to an end as CW announces the ‘divorce’ of the two Thursday flag ship of the network.

CW splits up its Thursday night block, sending Smallville over to Friday nights.

Yes folks, Smallville’s coming season (and their last) will be aired every Fridays while Sam and Dean’s Supernatural will continue to be seen Thursdays.

From TV.com:

“The CW is breaking up the couple that’s been together since March 2006, with Supernatural getting the time period in the divorce. Smallville will now air on Friday nights, and Supernatural will stay put on Thursdays, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ”

This is a good move though if you think about it… Two big shows put apart to help and support new comers.

Supernatural will be partnered with “The Vampire Diaries”, one of the network’s biggest freshman shows.
